On an interesting note, Billy and Mandy ended up lasting longer than most of the shows that CN greenlit without fan input Codename: Kids Next Door, the winner of the contest the following year, did likewise. This show was actually the winner of a contest held by Cartoon Network to determine what cartoon would be their next new show. Rounding out the show's cast are Irwin, Billy's best friend and the Token Minority (who also has a massive crush on Mandy) Sperg The Bully Mindy the Alpha Bitch Hoss Delgado, a supernatural bounty hunter with more brawn than brains Eris, the goddess of chaos and discord General Skarr (formerly seen in Evil Con Carne), who now wants to garden instead of conquering the world and Nergal, the Sumerian Death God who lives in Earth's molten core and just wants to be friends with everyone, really. Thus go The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy. Grim begrudgingly serves as something of an underworld version of Mary Poppins, thanklessly placating Billy's demands for cheap entertainment and Mandy's schemes for self-profit with his magical scythe while desperately trying to find a way to be rid of the duo for good. The pair challenge "Grim" to a limbo contest to save the hamster when Grim loses, he becomes Billy and Mandy's newest friend - and by "friend", we mean that he's contractually bound to be the kids' friend and cater to their every whim. Brainiac, and even the Moon people, that remain attempting to destroy the humans by extracting their brains to steal their knowledge after they discussed and revealed their master plan to escape with Endsville's supply of cheese while showing images of the characters from the other shows in the the crossover Cartoon Network Invaded which meant that they were the masterminds behind the entire event.This was the fifth and final chapter of Cartoon Network Invaded which also concluded with an alternate ending on June 1.The Grim Reaper has come for a soul - specifically, a hamster in his dying days - but he's stopped from taking the hamster to the afterlife by two children: the blissfully idiotic Billy (the hamster's owner) and the cynical, amoral Mandy (Billy's best friend). A final segment shows what happened to Billy, Mandy, Grim, Sperg, Dr. ![]() Meanwhile, Sperg sacrifices himself by letting the bomb in his head explode in the control room, thus crashing the spaceship in the Moon and saving Earth. With their backs to the wall, Grim finally chooses to give Billy, Mandy and himself their dairy superpowers. At that time, the Moon aliens start their transformation into werewolves, and they bite Billy, who becomes a werewolf too. Later, the four of them have been captured and are sent to the Moon to be destroyed, but they escape and try to stop the Moon ship from getting to Earth. Then, Billy says they must assemble a team of diary superheroes, the Green Squeaker (Billy), Milk Mandy, the Cheese Reaper, and Diary Boy (Sperg), to combat the aliens, but everybody is opposed to the idea. In the following, Billy's crazy story is confirmed when too many UFOs appear. Later, when they return home, it is revealed that Sperg has a bomb implanted in his head, and also that there is a shortage of dairy products Billy explains that the aliens are stealing Earth's dairy products because they are werewolf-like creatures who need cheese, and they have already mined all the cheese in the Moon. ![]() ![]() Then, he notices a strange light outside and wanders into a corn field to investigate there, he encounters Sperg, and they are both abducted by aliens who experiment with them. ![]() Brainiac action figure, he wishes he had an adventure.
